Then you should take this unforgettable tour that will give you all insights and interesting facts about filming in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik was often used as a movie stage but the show that our town made extremely popular in filming industry is definitely “Game of Thrones”. Since 2011 mainly during the off-season our city transformed into King’s Landing and started to attract a lot of GOT fans all over the world. In the old town it was almost impossible to hide from the crowds who couldn’t wait to see their favorite actors on set. HBO chose several locations inside and outside the walls. During this tour we will focus on the most beautiful sights the old town has to offer, accompanied by legendary Game of Thrones scenes.

1. We pick you up at the port.
We will pick you up either with a car, mini-van or mini-bus, depending on how many persons there are in your group.
2. Fort Lovrijenac – Amazing Red Keep
Fort Lovrijenac is situated on a cliff top and there are some stairs to be taken to the top, but once you’re there, it is worth the walk. In the gallery you may see some photos of the view from Lovrijenac castle. The walk to the top is not hasty and you will most definitely not be rushed by the tour guide. At the entrance we cover the ticket expense. Below Lovrijenac there is Pile Bay which was Blackwater Bay Battle location with many exciting scenes.
3. Old Town
Walking through the old town we will show you all filming locations starting from Pile Gate with the highlight – Walk of Shame. You’ll discover Dubrovnik was used for another big filming just recently.
4. City walls
Magnificent city walls that surround our old town are a statement of wealth and safety. For centuries, they were a protection from perils, pirates, foreign conquerors. Today, they are a reminder of some distant medieval times. Luckily, we managed to preserve our city walls in the times when trends were changing, suggesting that any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant. This is why Dubrovnik is today amongst the best-preserved medieval cities in the world.
5. Photo on The Iron Throne and Free Time in The Old Town
We’ll take you to the GoT shop so you can have your own photo on the Iron Throne. This photo is included in the price of the tour. You will have free time to explore the old town on your own.
6. Final stop of the tour – return to the port
Once we’re done discovering all sights of our Combo Game of Thrones and History Tour Shore Excursion, we’ll drop you off back at the port and your ship.
