Dubrovnik’s old town is the perfect example of great achievements in diplomacy, architecture, maritime and the desire for freedom. Just like a phoenix, Dubrovnik was once in rubble and ashes after a devastating earthquake, but it rose from it and it was rebuilt. Habitants never expected to see Dubrovnik devastated again, but it happened in 1991.Dubrovnik was heavily damaged by Yugoslav army and was faced with the most difficult times.
With a great effort the city was recovered and became again one of the main tourist attractions in the world.
See the major attractions of Dubrovnik old town with our local guide and learn about fascinating history from its earliest days to the Fall of Yugoslavia.
